He is described as an upstanding person with an absolute moral compass, which is why he was chosen to safeguard the world’s most advanced AI.

Layla is an autonomous, multi-modal neural architecture designed by an unknown scientist. She can perform real-time analysis of terabytes of data and offers capabilities she is not yet aware of.

The novels are set primarily in Jacksonville, Florida, and feature local landmarks such as the Marble Bank building, the St. Johns River, and the Cecil Commerce Center.

Ava was a minor character in the initial planning of The Failsafe program but her role rapidly expanded once she appeared on the page. Her enigmatic, almost hypnotic presence in The Failsafe Program led of her own spin off series in Eclosion Point where she became more than just a bit player, she became a full fledged heroine with a past you want to find out about and a future yet to be discovered.
