A Stacy Collins Story

This month I released a new short story on Amazon, including Kindle Unlimited. Set just before the upcoming third novel in the Alan Harrison and Layla series, the story takes us behind the scenes at Harrison and Associates, where Stacy struggles to balance running an office, hiring a replacement, and being a detective. In the process, she takes on a case of an invisible thief! This light-hearted mystery story is a fun excursion into Stacy’s complicated life.

The Butcher’s Masquerade

If you have not experienced Jeff Hays’ delightful narration of Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl series, you have to treat yourself. I am listening to DCC #5 The Butcher’s Masquerade right now, and the experience is indescribable. Hays is a master at making the text come alive, and those lines that make you laugh out loud when you read them hit even harder when you are hearing them in the characters’ voices. Fantastic experience.

The Process of Creation

Onward!

With Eclosion Point moving forward toward publication in October, I have finally started writing the third Alan Harrison and Layla Novel. The story will pick up where Cyvbernetic Resonance left off and will feature some surprise returning characters from The Failsafe Program. So far I’m only one chapter in, but I’m having fun writing it, and I know you will enjoy reading the novel. No promises, but we are shooting for an early second-quarter release next year. (Jeanne will kill me for saying that)

The Future

Someone asked me a few weeks ago if I had a long arc planned for Alan Harrison and Layla. I hadn’t thought much about it, but his question reminded me of an idea I had been kicking around about the far-off future. This week I started writing a new short story which examines Layla’s evolution and how she adapts to the world around her.
